Every little bit helps!!!! Is Tesco really going to build the new supermarket or are they just stalling for time.
At present the building for the new Tesco store has came to a halt. This is a typical example of the council selling the community out. Apparently the council were paid a sum of nearly 7 million pounds for the land to be developed, but if you walk past it on any given day you will see it is nothing more than a wasteland with a big wall around it.

Apparently STRETFORD HIGH SCHOOL has applied to the Council to build a car park on the land and use it for the Manchester United Games. All the money that is collected will go to the school so again the community is kept in the quiet about what is happening to this land. The council need to come clean, why should the school be allowed to build a car park just for match days.

This land should have been used for the community, if we allow anymore big corporate developers to just snatch up land and to focus more ontheir profits than the community, we might as well all moved into a Tesco store near to you. Gorse Hill is crying out for more youth and development of its residents and the council do not listen. Have your say let us know what you think of this sham.
